At the heart of the conflict, where the roar of war overshadows the whispers of everyday life, the Nafas-e Ushahin collection (Breath of Dawn) dedicated to Ukraine seeks to shed light on untold stories of resilience and hope.
I venture into Ukraine, a land marked by the echoes of turmoil, to capture the silent narratives of those left behind: the parents, wives and children of soldiers, engaged in a battle, a sacrifice, for their future.
From Lviv to Chernivtsi, passing through Kyiv and Kharkiv, through my lens, I aim to portray not only faces but the souls behind them, each photo being a testimony to the strength and endurance of the human spirit.
Drawing from my own childhood memories, I found a poignant parallel in the eyes of those I photographed. My own family was also touched by the harsh hand of conflict, with relatives called to defend home and country. The same fear that once haunted my nights, I now see reflected in the eyes of Ukrainian families. Their uncertainty, their hope, their wait, deeply resonated with my own experiences.
This collection is more than an artistic endeavor; it is a bridge between the past and the present, a mirror reflecting the shared human experience of the collateral damage of war. Focusing specificaly on the women and children of Ukraine, I aim to highlight the often-neglected victims and heroes of war, those who do not fight on the battlefields, but in the silent wars of waiting and hope.
Through these portraits and stories, I hope to evoke empathy and understanding, to remind us of the enduring spirit that adversity cannot extinguish. This is my tribute to resilience, a call to bear witness, and a prayer for peace.

Au cœur du conflit, où le rugissement de la guerre éclipse les murmures de la vie quotidienne, la collection Nafas-e Ushahin (Souffle de l'Aube) dédiée à l'Ukraine cherche à éclairer les histoires inédites de résilience et d'espoir.
Je m'aventure en Ukraine, une terre marquée par les échos de la tourmente, pour capturer les narrations silencieuses de ceux laissés pour compte : les parents, épouses et enfants des soldats, engagés dans une bataille, un sacrifice, pour leur avenir. De Lviv à Tchernivtsi, en passant par Kyiv et Kharkiv, à travers mon objectif, je cherche à dépeindre non seulement des visages, mais les âmes derrière eux, chaque photo étant un témoignage de la force et de l'endurance de l'esprit humain.

La même peur qui hantait autrefois mes nuits, je l'ai maintenant vue se refléter dans les yeux des familles ukrainiennes. Leur incertitude, leur espoir, leur attente, résonnaient profondément avec mes propres expériences.
Cette collection est plus qu'une entreprise artistique ; c'est un pont entre le passé et le présent, un miroir reflétant l'expérience humaine partagée des dommages collatéraux de la guerre. En me concentrant en particulier sur les femmes et les enfants d'Ukraine, je vise à mettre en lumière les victimes et heros souvent négligées de la guerre, celles qui ne combattent pas sur les champs de bataille, mais dans les guerres silencieuses de l'attente et de l'espoir.
À travers ces portraits et ces histoires, j'espère évoquer l'empathie et la compréhension, pour nous rappeler l'esprit endurant que l'adversité ne peut éteindre. Ceci est mon hommage à la résilience, un appel à témoigner, et une prière pour la paix.

Я вирушаю в Україну, землю, ознаменовану відгомонами бурі, щоб зафіксувати мовчазні оповіді тих, кого залишили поза увагою: дружин і дітей військових, загиблих військових, хто воює за їхнє майбутнє. Від Львова до Чернівців, проходячи через Київ та Харків, через мій об'єктив, я намагаюся зобразити не лише обличчя, а й душі за ними, кожну історію. Кожне фото є свідченням сили та витривалості людського духу. Озираючись на власні дитячі спогади, я знайшов вражаючу паралель в очах тих, кого я фотографував. Моя родина також відчула жорстоку руку конфлікту, мої близьк були вимушені захищати дім та країну. Той самий страх, який колись мучив мої ночі, я тепер бачу у відображені очей українських родин. Їхня невизначеність, надія, очікування, глибоко резонують з моїм власним досвідом. Ця серія, Nafas-e Ushahin, або "Подих Світанку", це більше, ніж художній проєкт; це міст між минулим та сучасністю, дзеркало, який відображає спільний людський досвід потерпання від збитків війни. Зосереджуючись на жінках та дітях України, я прагну висвітлити тих жертв та Героїв війни, хто часто залишається поза увагою. Тих, хто не бореться на полях битв, але в тилу війни знаходиться в очікуванні та надії. Через ці портрети та історії я хочу викликати співчуття та розуміння, щоб нагадати нам про дух стійкості, який протистоїть труднощам. Це моя пошана до стійкості, заклик бути свідками цих подій і молитися за мир.
